The General Laborer supports production operations by assisting machine operators, handling materials, and packaging finished products to maintain a smooth workflow. This role requires attention to detail, safe material handling, and teamwork to meet quality standards and production targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; entry-level opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assist sewing operators by guiding materials through sewing machines.
• Fold finished products and place on carts.

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Position Summary

The General Laborer supports production operations by assisting machine operators, handling materials, packaging finished products, and maintaining efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing process. This role requires attention to detail, safe material handling, and teamwork to ensure quality standards and production targets are met.

• Assist sewing operators by guiding materials through sewing machines
• Fold finished products and place them on designated carts
• Load raw material rolls onto quilting machines
• Join material roll ends to ensure continuous machine operation
• Monitor and align material layers for quality and accuracy
• Unload cut materials from conveyor belts onto pallets or carts
• Turn quilts inside out and feed them through the rolling machine
• Remove finished rolled quilts from the machine and place them into boxes
• Seal boxes, palletize finished products, and secure pallets for shipment

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED

Physical and Environmental Elements

This is a production classification and employees work indoors and outdoors (in all seasons) with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Need to have the ability to ascend and descend a ladder and/or scaffolding. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
