Job summary

Shenandoah Valley Organic, LLC is hiring for positions in a production area where you'll work with poultry products. Employees are expected to process food items while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean environment.

This role typically requires five to six days of work per week, including potential overtime. Ideal candidates will have the ability to learn quickly and work various shifts, including weekends. Experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Job description

Job Overview

Work in a production area processing poultry products, handling live poultry, raw and/or cooked items, including live hang, evisceration, debone, cut up, marinating, stack off, Polybag, Retail, Warehouse and more. Typically requires five to six days a week; overtime may be required based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Work at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE.
• Prevent and report unsafe acts and conditions.
• Follow Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Participate in company and department safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Work in a plant environment with wet and moist floors, metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures from 28°F to 100°F and 100% humidity.
• May handle product temperatures from 25°F to 50°F.
• Noise ranges may reach 110 dB.
• Exposure to dust, feathers, and chemicals used in poultry processing.
• Perform climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, standing for long periods, walking, and lifting and carrying boxes, tools, equipment and materials.

• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to work all assigned shifts, including overtime and some weekends.

Work Schedule

Works five to six days a week with overtime as needed. Production is typically scheduled to avoid Saturdays and does not run on Sundays.
