Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist in maintenance of equipment and machines.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in work areas and surroundings.
• Assist in installation, leveling, aligning, assembling, transporting and unloading of equipment.
• Perform routine bench work and minor repairs as directed.
• Maintain grounds, perform snow/ice removal, and assist with painting tasks as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:Adhere to all safety regulations and/or directivesKeep forktruck clean and report any needed service requirementsMaintain hazardous materials room by monitoring level of waste solvent drum, notify Maintenance Leadperson as the drum approaches full, check, and fill oil bar dispensing drums as needed, clean floor of oil, rags and debris, mop as needed to maintain cleanlinessMaintain air compressor/fluid cooler area by keeping the equipment and floor clean of any oil and debris, check for air, water or oil leaks and notify the Maintenance Department of any detectedAssist in the installation, leveling, aligning, assembling, transporting, erecting, dismantling, loading and/or unloading of various machines, building structures and equipmentSafely operate maintenance hand tools and basic power toolsAssist in the performance of routine bench work, maintenance duties such as rebuilding regulators, etc.Assist in the performance of miscellaneous piping workLearn proper procedures regarding requisitions, receives and preventative maintenance work ordersMaintain outside grounds in an acceptable fashion.
