We are currently seeking individuals for Manufacturing Associate roles based in Bolingbrook, IL. These full-time, temp-to-hire positions are with an expanding manufacturing organization. We seek reliable team members who thrive in high-speed production settings and are interested in consistent hours with the potential for extra overtime.
Daily tasks involve various manufacturing functions, including material handling, shredding, palletizing, catching, feeding, and general production support.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support overall manufacturing and production workflows.
- Manage the feeding, catching, stacking, sorting, and packaging of completed goods.
- Prepare finished materials by palletizing, wrapping, and labeling.
- Help maintain a smooth workflow by staging and moving materials across the production floor.
- Ensure high standards by checking items for visible quality issues or defects.
- Keep production zones clear by removing scrap and substandard materials.
- Provide necessary support to production teams and machine operators.
- Contribute to a tidy and well-organized workspace for the entire team.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure a secure environment.
- Uphold quality, hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety standards.
- Execute repetitive tasks while remaining on your feet for long durations.
- Safely handle and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Complete additional production-related tasks as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in production, manufacturing, general labor, or warehouse settings is a plus.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong track record of consistent attendance.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
- Physical capacity to stand for long periods and handle repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to following all safety, quality, hygiene, and food safety guidelines.
- Capacity to comprehend safety protocols and operational instructions.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including Saturdays as needed.
- Strong interest in taking on extra overtime hours when available.
- Standard 12-hour shifts run from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
- Departmental needs may cause slight variations in shift timing.
- Availability on Saturdays is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Production demands dictate the availability of overtime.
- New team members should expect to complete 1-2 weeks of training on the first shift before transitioning to their permanent schedule.
Pay and Status:
- Starting wage of $18.00 per hour.
