Job summary

Fleck Manufacturing in Ohio is seeking a capable manufacturing associate to operate equipment, read production orders, and prepare materials to customer specifications. You will work under the Production Supervisor, lift up to 50 lbs, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Performs operational duties assigned by Production Supervisor
• Operates machines by engaging controls
• Monitor and inspect the machine, and if there are any inconsistencies, communicate those to the shift supervisor
• Processes and prepares materials assigned by the Production Supervisor and accurately assembles materials according to customer orders and specifications
• Ensure customer orders are complete, accurate, properly identified, and ready for shipment or the next stage of production
• Pays close attention to detail when processing materials, verifying quantities, dimensions, quality specifications, and order requirements to minimize errors
• Operates forklifts in handling of finished goods and other duties as assigned
• Perform general equipment and building maintenance (corrective and preventative tasks) as assigned by Production Supervisor

Chemical Handling & Equipment Maintenance:

• Safely handle, measure, mix, and process chemicals in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while working with chemicals and processing equipment
• Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance of department equipment to ensure proper operations
• Monitor equipment for damage, or malfunctions and report issues promptly to the supervisor
• Follow all required safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and handling and storage of chemicals
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate and safe chemical handling, proper equipment operation, and consistent product quality

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is not required but preferred
• Experience operating a forklift and skid steer is not required but preferred
• Be organized and self-motivated

Additional Information:

• Reports to: Production Supervisor
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts
• Shift: 1 st Shift 7AM – 5:30PM; 1 st Shift 5:00AM – 3:30 PM; 2 nd Shift 5PM – 3:30AM
• Pay Rate: $17 per hour ($18 per hour for 2 nd Shift)
