Job summary

EMR USA Metal Recycling is seeking a General Laborer to support daily yard operations. You will clean sites, assist in equipment maintenance, and sort recyclable material while following safety protocols and maintaining an organized work area.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work independently or in a team, and use basic hand tools. Forklift experience is a plus; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and operate safely in a yard.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment.
• Sort and pick up recycling material.
• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols.
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace.
• Assist in housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

General Laborer

The General Laborer will assist with the general day-to-day operations of the yard. To be successful, you must be able to work independently to accomplish daily tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to use variety of hand tools such as snip cutters, brooms, shovels, etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel, and stand for long periods.

Education:

• High School graduate or G.E.D.
• Previous experience using a forklift preferred.
