Kids for the Future is hiring a general laborer to move freight, stock, and materials, with shifts that may include overtime, weekends, and holidays. The role requires standing for long periods and using equipment like pallet jacks and scanners to process products.
Compliance with E-Verify and background checks is required. This position includes health and vision insurance options and a schedule that supports early morning shifts.
The primary responsibility of a general laborer is to manually moves freight, stock, luggage, and other materials, and/or perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to work a schedule performing eight plus hours per day which could include overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.
1. Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas.
2.Arrange totes and products neatly at workstation.
3. Processes product using tools to include box cutter, pallet jack, and other equipment assigned.
4. Use handheld scanning device to scan barcodes on products.
5. Carry out necessary procedures to process units, including applying labels when required.
6. Scan products and place them in appropriate containers for respective channels.
7. Execute product refinement in line with established operating protocols and ensure adherence to expected standards of quality and quantity.
8. Safely load full totes of products onto the conveyor, following SOP producers.
9. Picking and packing of products.
11. Ability to conduct any other non-specialized tasks as needed.
12. Clean and maintain an organized work area.
1. GED/High School Diploma and/or prior experience helpful.
2. Ability to follow and comprehend instructions from leadership.
3. Ability to multitask and work within prescribed standards.
4. Ability to use, lift, pull, or push assigned equipment including pallet-jacks.
5. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
6. Ability to stand and use hands for eight plus hours per day.
7. Must have good communication skills.
8. Good hand and eye coordination required.
9. Ability to work close to other associates at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
