Job summary

Quaker Houghton in Tennessee seeks a production worker to process customer parts for sealing or impregnation on the production line. You will unload parts, prepare baskets, and feed the line, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety.

The role includes post-processing, repacking, labeling, palletizing, and reporting issues to Quality. Flexible hours may be required; use of light hoists is possible; a strong commitment to a clean and safe environment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Unload customer parts and place in baskets for processing.
• Stabilize or protect baskets to ensure even weight distribution.
• Send baskets to production line for porosity sealing or vacuum impregnation.
• Unload baskets after processing and perform post-processing steps or testing.
• Repak parts into shipping containers ensuring security.
• Apply quality control stickers and use torque or banding hand tools as needed.
• May require shrink-wrapping pallets and using hand pallet jacks.
• Notify Quality Personnel or Team Lead about damaged or contaminated parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment; use of computers as needed.

Job SummaryProcessing customer parts for sealing or impregnation through the production line.Job DescriptionParticipate in unloading customer raw or machined parts and place in baskets using proper lifting or teamwork for processing. Where appropriate, utilize stabilizing or protective quality measures to prepare basket such as mesh or stabilization devices to ensure basket is loaded evenly for weight distribution and placing lids on top. Send prepared basket to production line for porosity sealing or vacuum impregnation. Once through the line, unload baskets and perform post processing steps or testing. Repack parts into shipping containers ensuring parts are secure. Where appropriate, stamp or place quality control sticker on parts and use of torque or banding hand tools. May require shrink wrapping pallets and use of hand pallet jacks. May require alerting Quality Personnel or Team Lead about damaged, dirty or contaminated parts. Use of computers as needed. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. May require working flexible hours. Carries out other duties as directed. Ability to use a light hoist or crane occasionally.
