Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Package and label finished products in accordance with customer requirements and company specifications.
  • Maintain production output to support and meet daily shipping schedules.
  • Inspect packaged products to ensure they are free from damage, contamination, and defects.
  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Keep packaging and supply storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies require replenishment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor promptly.
  • Follow all GMPs, sanitation procedures, and food safety requirements.
  • Adhere to metal detector policies and proper product-handling procedures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas as required.
  • Rotate between workstations and job functions as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to achieve production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, warehouse operations, or food processing preferred but not required.
  • Training in GMPs, food safety, sanitation, or manufacturing operations is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to hear, see, speak, and smell as necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work schedules and end-of-shift times may vary based on production and shipping requirements; flexibility is essential.
  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from approximately 30°F to 110°F depending on department and season.
  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing and packaging equipment, moving machinery, and production processes.
  • Potential exposure to electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards.
  • High and continuous noise levels are present throughout the facility.
  • Floors may be damp, wet, or slippery in certain work areas.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols.
