Job summary

Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is seeking a Production Worker to support a fast-paced food manufacturing line. You will stack, inspect, and pack finished products, ensuring correct labeling and quality while preparing items for storage.

Responsibilities include following GMPs and safety procedures, maintaining clean work areas, and accurately completing paperwork. Experience is not required, but 0–1 year is preferred, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in an industrial food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong teamwork skills and reliability in a fast-paced setting.
• High attention to detail and adherence to written procedures.
• Basic safety and food handling practices knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stacks boxes of finished products onto pallets and applies shrink wrap for storage and transport.
• Inspects finished products for proper labeling and quality standards.
• Packs items into boxes or totes and prepares for storage, including shrink wrapping.
• Supports setup and line flow of various products in Production.
• Cleans and sanitizes machinery and equipment as required.
• Maintains clean, safe work areas and follows housekeeping practices.
• Completes checks, documentation, and production paperwork accurately.
• Follows GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and plant security requirements.
• Uses PPE and reports safety concerns to supervisors.
• Maintains plant hygiene to protect product integrity.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stacks boxes of finished products onto pallets and applies shrink wrap for safe storage and transport.
• Inspects finished products to ensure proper labeling, quality standards, and compliance with company specifications.
• Packs finished products into boxes or totes; inspects pallets, boxes, and totes for defects; places poly liners in totes; verifies product weights; and prepares items for storage, including stacking and shrink wrapping.
• Learns and supports the setup and line flow of various products within the Production Department.
• Cleans and sanitizes machinery and equipment as required.
• Maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
• Completes required checks, documentation, and production paperwork accurately and legibly throughout the shift.
• Follows all food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures, including but not limited to GMPs, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, and plant security requirements.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Immediately reports any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to the Production Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Maintains plant hygiene standards to ensure the highest level of product integrity.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Lead.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in an industrial food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks and meet job requirements with consistency and reliability.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, including management.
• High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and follow written procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production needs.
• Basic understanding of safety and food handling practices is a plus.
