Job summary

UFP Industries in Indiana is seeking a General Labor associate to safely handle products, verify material meets customer requirements, and perform basic maintenance as needed.

You will move, label, and bundle materials, keep accurate production records, maintain a clean work area, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
• Records production on production sheets
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
