Job summary

Openwork is seeking a General Laborer – Warehouse to support daily operations, including loading/unloading shipments and organizing inventory. You will help with packing, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Two shifts are available: 7:00am-3:30pm and 3:30pm-12:00am, with occasional overtime. A high school diploma and reliability are desired; prior warehouse experience is a plus. Pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets safely and efficiently.
• Move products manually or with pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts (if certified).
• Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper locations.
• Keep the warehouse clean and free of safety hazards.
• Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Report damaged goods, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Assist team members with general warehouse duties as needed.

Openwork is currently engaged in search to find a General Laborer – Warehouse is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, and assisting with basic tasks to ensure efficient workflow.

As a General Labor you’ll be responsible for:

• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets safely and efficiently.
• Move products and materials manually or with pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts (if certified).
• Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper locations.
• Keep the warehouse clean and free of safety hazards (sweeping, trash removal, etc.).
• Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report damaged goods, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Assist team members with general warehouse duties as needed.

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for long periods.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety standards.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and reliability.
• Willingness to learn and take on varied tasks.
