Job summary

Kolbe Striping in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a seasonal/onsite worker for roadway striping and related duties. Responsibilities include material handling, flagging, layout reading, and customer service in outdoor conditions.

Position requires familiarity with safety rules, a valid driver’s license, and exposure to variable weather. Physical tasks may involve lifting up to 75 pounds and operating heavy equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Colorado Flagger Certification is helpful.
• Driver's license with clean driving record required.
• One year experience in roadway striping field work requested.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance and monitor work areas for safety.
• Haul and move materials at the job site.
• Stack and organize materials.
• Shovel and sweep asphalt.
• Operate equipment and machinery as needed.
• Apply striping materials to roadways using various techniques.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Read blueprints and perform layouts.
• Flagging tasks as required.
• Assist with layouts and math-based placements.
• Drive vehicles and equipment as necessary.
• Provide customer service to the traveling public.
• Complete quality control, safety, inventory, and billing audits.
• Complete daily tasks to meet company standards.

Job Details
Job Location: Castle Rock, CO 80109
Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly
Purpose of position: Performs unskilled construction activities, usually working in utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require varied experience and ability to work without close supervision by performing the following duties.

Essential duties/responsibilities:

• Ensure that their actions meet all safety requirements and watch areas around them to ensure all aspects of the project are safe for everyone.
• Haul and move materials at the job site.
• Stack and organize materials
• Shovel and sweep asphalt
• Operate equipment and machinery*
• Las striping materials on roadway using various techniques
• Load and unloads trucks
• Read blueprints and perform layouts*
• Perform flagging tasks*
• Assist with layouts
• Use mathematical skills to ensure proper placement
• Drive vehicles and equipment as necessary*
• Provide Customer Service to our Customers, including the traveling public; ensuring follow through on problems encountered, questions asked, or issues identified.
• Complete audits of quality control, safety checks for drivers (ensuring that the striping is accurate and does not cause a safety concern), as well as inventory and billing audits of reported quantities.
• Ensure at the end of the shift all required tasks listed on the daily checklist are complete to KSI standards.*

QualificationsTraining/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Colorado Flagger Certification helpful
• Valid Drivers License with clean driving record required

Experience:

• Exposure to construction or construction related field. Certain tasks (as indicated with an *) requires training and/or endorsements from a governing authority. Those tasks will be required as the training and/or endorsements are obtained.
• One year experience in Roadway Striping field work

Working Environment:

• Outdoor environment that includes exposure to rain, sleet, snow, extreme cold, dust, mud, heat, direct sunlight, dark, and noise
• Will be exposed to moving vehicles, exhaust and fumes

Physical Activities:

• Prolonged standing and bending, reaching, crawling, climbing, grasping, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.
• Often includes lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling items up to 75 pounds.
