Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a General Labor to join a construction and metal fabrication environment in Brookshire, TX. The role involves tearing down and cutting metal, with a focus on safety and following procedures under pressure.

The position requires physical readiness for labor-intensive work and rotation of tasks within a team. The pay range is $24 per hour, with a Monday–Friday shift from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Operate a jack hammer (including pressure control) to make cuts on steel enclosures; climb 11 steps using movable stairs that lock in place.
• Follow a tag-out system when fatigued, then switch to using a plasma handler to cut at spot welds.
• Tear down and remove metal ribbons; use a buddy system to lift and move pieces over 50 pounds.
• Cut metal components and support proper setup and teardown of work areas while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workflow.

Our client, a construction and metal fabrication environment, is seeking a General Labor to join their team. As a General Labor, Tear down Associate you will be part of the construction unit supporting tear downs and metal cutting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety mindset, the ability to follow procedures under pressure, and the physical readiness to perform labor-intensive work while rotating tasks with a team. Construction experience with Jack Hammer and Plasma handler cutter experience. Spanish speaking a plus but not required.

Shift: 7:00am - 5:00pm (M-F)

What's the Job?

• Perform tear down work in a construction unit of 8 people, rotating duties as needed.

What's Needed?

• Physical ability to climb 11 steps and perform heavy lifting and labor-intensive tasks.

• Ability to work safely with PPE and follow safety procedures, including using the buddy system for heavy lifts.

• Steel toe footwear required; FREs are a plus (fire retardant clothing). Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.

What's Needed?

• Se requieren steel toes (calzado con punta de acero). Contar con FREs es una ventaja (ropa retardante al fuego). Hablar español es una ventaja, pero no es obligatorio.
