Job Description

This role involves general kitchen cooking with a delivery element: prepping food, cooking to specifications, packaging, and delivering to catering sites. The volume can be up to hundreds of guests a day and up to 3 deliveries per day (breakfast, lunch, some receptions). Also, cold prep at the catering site when needed. The position is 32 hours a week, with hours set based on business needs, some days early, some later. No weekends, very few late nights.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.
  2. Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
  3. Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
  4. Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
  5. Safely uses utensils including knives.
  6. Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  7. Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
  8. Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
  9. Stores food properly following safety policies.
  10. Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  11. Maintains excellent customer service and a positive demeanor.
  12. Adheres to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation.
  13. Ensures security of company assets.
Qualifications
  1. Ability to lift 50 lbs with team assistance.
  2. Flexible attitude and adaptability to tasks and settings.
  3. Preferred 2 years kitchen or 3 years catering experience.
  4. Must have a clean driving record to operate the company vehicle.
  5. Ability to work as part of a small team to ensure success.
  6. Willingness to work in a client-facing environment and be front of house if needed.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
