Cow Creek Band of The Umpqua Tribe of Indians is seeking an experienced journeyman electrician to install, modify, maintain, and repair electrical systems across facilities in Oregon. The role requires adherence to NEC/NFPA standards and safe operation of electrical controls.

Candidates must hold an Oregon Journeyman Electrician License and a valid Oregon Driver’s License, with strong reading of schematics and blueprints, and solid wiring and diagnostic skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational training in electricity.
• Minimum 4 years of General Journeyman experience.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and local electric codes.
• Good communication skills (oral or written).
• Ability to fill out forms as required.
• Math skills for basic computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and plans.
• Experience using electrical tools and equipment.
• Valid and current Oregon Journeyman Electrician License.
• Valid and current Oregon Driver’s License.

Responsabilidades

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is responsible forthe installation, modification, maintenance and repairs of electricalappliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls of varyingdesign or complexity for UIUC and all UIDC businesses.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

• Roughand finish wiring of buildings, well houses, sewage lift stations, watertreatment facilities, and control systems. Coordinates or preparesshipment of materials and supplies for electrical construction to the jobsites.
• Installssystem components and wiring in compliance with the NEC, NFPA and the UFC.Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical control circuitsfor motors and control devices for various electrical devices.
• Troubleshoots electrical problems and performs electrical maintenance for all electricalequipment and devices.
• Upgradeselectrical equipment and devices when needed.
• Performsgeneral wiring, replaces switches, receptacles, breakers, etc.
• Installnew wiring or circuits for additional equipment: copiers, alarms, fans,lights, etc.
• Performspreventive maintenance on electrical equipment and eliminates sever problemsthat could be the cause of major downtime.
• InformsUIUC Supervising Electrician of parts, equipment and other supplies that arenecessary to do job.
• Performsother duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school, GED, and specialized vocationaltraining in electricity.
• Minimum4 years of General Journeyman experience.
• Musthave knowledge of the National Electric Code and local electric codes.
• CommunicationSkills (oral, written, or business). Basic communication skills to exchangeinformation, give/receive simple instructions and respond to inquiries.
• Includesfilling out forms.
• MathematicalSkills: Performs routine computations requiring knowledge of addition,subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions,decimals and/or percentages.
• Readingand Interpreting: Reads and interprets complex written or printedmaterials such as schematics, blueprints, building plans, charts,diagrams, maps, or instruction material.
• Toolsand Equipment Usage (other than keyboards, or office machines): Uses toolsor equipment.
• Valid and Current Oregon Journeyman’sElectrician License.
• Valid and current Oregon Driver’sLicense.
