Notre Dame is seeking an experienced ML Engineer in San Jose to design, implement, and optimize large-scale recommendation systems. You will deliver end-to-end ML solutions, own the full stack ML system, and work with cross-functional teams to shape product strategies for growth in key markets. Strong C++, Python and DL framework experience preferred, with NLP/CV or recommender systems exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related technical discipline.
• Strong coding skills with knowledge of algorithms and data structures (C++, Python, or similar).
• Experience in Machine Learning and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience in NLP, Computer Vision, Recommender Systems, or ML.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Preferred: published papers or ML competitions (ACM, Kaggle)

About You

The company is looking for:

• Individuals completing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related technical discipline.
• Proficient coding skills with strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures using C++, Python, or other programming languages.
• Experience in Machine Learning and familiarity with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience in one or more areas including NLP, Computer Vision, Recommender Systems, or Machine Learning.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred qualifications include authorship of published papers in accredited academic conferences and achievements in algorithm or machine learning competitions such as ACM or Kaggle.
