General Hematology/Oncology Physician Needed at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville

The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee, is seeking a dynamic Hematology/Oncology physician to join the faculty as a member of the Cancer Program. The Division of Hematology-Oncology, part of the Department of Medicine, is dedicated to clinical care, research, and education.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and organizational skills, with an interest in clinical trials. A proven record of clinical research and scholarly activity is highly preferred. This is a non-tenure track, academic appointment. Academic rank, compensation, and appointments will be based on the applicant's experience and qualifications.

The Division of Hematology-Oncology is rapidly growing. The Cancer Institute has over 70,000 patient visits annually, with more than 3,000 new cancer diagnoses each year. In-hospital consultations are provided at UT Medical Center, a leading regional academic medical center. The successful candidate will have protected time for research, access to an active clinical trials infrastructure, and collaboration opportunities with programs in urology, surgical oncology, pathology, GI pathology, and radiation oncology.

Requirements include board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, eligibility for a medical license in Tennessee, and a commitment to diversity and equal opportunity. Candidates with international visa status will be considered on an individual basis.
