Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is seeking a general gastroenterologist to join a collegial group, providing GI services in ambulatory and inpatient settings with a dedicated endoscopy suite on campus. The unit supports EUS and ERCP procedures, including pH impedance, manometry, and Bravo studies.

The practice emphasizes a 5-day workweek, inpatient and outpatient coverage, and a quick ramp-up with an established patient backlog, offering comprehensive benefits through Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Completion of certified residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide general GI care in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Perform consults and manage endoscopy procedures in the onsite suite.
• Collaborate with hospitalist group for consult services.
• Participation in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP when available.
• Maintain Monday–Friday schedule with equitable call coverage.
