City of Chicago's Department of Transportation seeks a General Foreman of Laborers for curbs and gutters to supervise and coordinate field crews on asphalt paving, concrete work, and related street repairs. Location: 1501 West Pershing Road. Hours: 7:30 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Salary starts at $57.39 per hour. Under the union bargaining unit 54, this role directs Foremen, organizes schedules, approves timesheets, and ensures safety at the work sites.

This position is covered under the City's collective bargaining agreement with LABORERS INTERNATIONAL UNION OF NORTH AMERICA LOCAL 1001 (BARGAINING UNIT 54).
Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.
Under supervision, directs and coordinates Foreman and their field crews engaged in the maintenance and repair of street alleys, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, as well as asphalt paving and resurfacing streets and roads, general labor for electrical work operations, and perform related duties as required
