General Food Service Assistant 2025‑2026 School Year

This posting seeks candidates for future vacancies. Positions frequently become available throughout the school year. Candidates submitting applications for this job posting will be screened / considered for positions that become available throughout the school year.

Seeking an individual to assist in the preparation and serving of the school lunch program while maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. Starting hourly rate is $11.25. The pay range is $11.25 – $16.50 /hour. Experience, skills and assignment will be considered in determining pay. The position is eligible for benefits, including health insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Food service experience preferred
• Physical fitness and emotional stability to perform the job
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Must successfully complete required food and kitchen safety training
• Must be able to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
