Job summary

Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) seeks a Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (DAPMSE) for the Tomahawk Submarine Launched Cruise Missile program in PMA-280. You will lead the development and management of the technical and engineering effort for this program as a General Engineer in the Systems Acquisition Group.

Position Description

You will serve as the Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (DAPMSE) for the Tomahawk Submarine Launched Cruise Missile program in PMA-280. You will be responsible for the development and management of the technical and engineering effort for this program. You will serve as a General Engineer in the Systems Acquisition Group, Systems Engineering Department, Air Platform Systems Engineering Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will apply advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes in research and engineering, test and evaluation, and logistics functions.


• You will identify and solve a wide variety of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints.


• You will deliver optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule, and technology constraints.


• You will formulate approaches using knowledge or related projects to resolve a variety of nonrecurring technological problems, where some work may require state-of-the-art design to take advantage of new concepts.


• You will provide technically sound advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors on technical aspects of systems or concept development.
