Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Paraeducator I: General Education (ELL) to provide instructional support at Mitchell High School. This role will assist in reinforcing learning and promoting skill development for diverse students.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and experience with children. Strong collaboration and communication skills, along with the ability to support educational and operational needs, are essential.

Starting pay ranges from $17.57 to $20.99 per hour, depending on experience. This is a full-time position with benefits for the 2025-2026 school year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Bilingual skills relevant to district population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Implement instructional strategies and classroom supports to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Monitor, document, and report student progress and behavior.

Supporting instruction for individuals and small groups

Clear oral and written communication

Building positive relationships with students and staff

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education
