Job Summary

This posting reflects an opening for a X-ray Technologist I, and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role, including Technx-ray ologist II, based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records.

Job Duties
  • Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operates all equipment within the modality proficiently.
  • Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  • Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assists physicians with various procedures.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintains related records and notations.
  • Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Participates in the educational training of students.
