Job description

Job Summary: $15,000 Sign-on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Technologist I, and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role, including X-ray Technologist II, based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Responsibilities include performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Job Duties
  1. Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
  2. Operates all equipment within the modality knowledgeably.
  3. Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  4. Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology when performing examinations.
  5. Assists physicians with various procedures.
  6. Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  7. Maintains related records and notations.
  8. Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  9. Participates in the educational training of students.

Education & Experience
  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)
