The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine (UPSDM) is seeking a part-time (40% FTE), non-tenure track clinical faculty member in the Center for Patients with Special Needs (CPSN). The role involves clinical instruction of dental students and residents, focusing on patients with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Candidates must have postgraduate experience in general or pediatric dentistry. Additional certifications such as GPR, AEGD, or specialized training in pediatric or special needs dentistry are preferred. A commitment to ongoing education is desirable. Applicants should have a DDS/DMD degree from an ADA-accredited institution and be eligible for a Pennsylvania dental license. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
The CPSN provides multidisciplinary care involving dentists, specialists, anesthesiologists, and nurses, serving both adult and pediatric patients with various physical, developmental, neurological, and behavioral challenges, including the frail elderly and medically complex individuals.
