Dr. Costa Family Dentistry is looking for an
Associate Dentist. This is an ideal position for a doctor starting their career that is looking for mentorship. Dr. Costa is able and willing to mentor a newer doctor from treatment planning to patient communication, and delivery of care. This position requires the flexibility to cover hygiene.

Principle Responsibilities And Duties
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of dental technical and support staff as required.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
- As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.
- Hygiene Duties as needed. Perform full mouth prophy and from time-to-time quadrant scaling and root planning.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
- Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine, MA State Dental License or eligibility
- 0-3 years of experience in a dental setting.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
- Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of dental evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in your area of expertise
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of dental surgical care
- Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
- Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients regarding correct usage
