Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Staff Dentist will function as a general dentist, performing the full range of professional dental procedures to treat commonly encountered dental diseases. The Staff Dentist works under the general direction of the Chief, Dental Service.

Interviews will be scheduled 11/2/2026–11/3/2026. Applicants pending licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from CODA-approved dental school.
• Residency in general practice or specialty or comparable experience treating medically compromised patients.
• Current, full and unrestricted dental license in the United States or DC.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of general dental procedures for treating common dental diseases and health problems.
• Treat medically compromised patients as part of care delivery.
• Work under the general direction of the Chief, Dental Service.
