Job summary

TeamstersCare in Charlestown, MA is seeking a General Dentist to join a busy, growing dental practice serving union members and their families. A Massachusetts Dental License is required. The 40-hour workweek includes some evenings and alternating Saturdays.

Compensation ranges from $145,000 to $150,000 annually, with about $30,000 in employer-provided benefits. The practice offers generous PTO, health/dental/vision, 401(k), life insurance, and ongoing CE opportunities.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Dental License required for practice.
• DEA License required.
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration required.
• CPR/AED Certification required.
• Maintain licensure with minimum 40 hours of continuing education per 2-year cycle.

Responsibilities

• Review medical histories, maintain patient records, and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Perform oral examinations, evaluate x-rays, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients on treatment options, risks, benefits, costs, and insurance coverage.
• Provide or coordinate dental treatment, including specialist referrals when necessary.
• Accurately document procedures and authorize laboratory prescriptions as required.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate dental staff to ensure quality care and compliance with practice standards.
• Maintain compliance with clinical, infection control, emergency preparedness, and recordkeeping protocols.
• Lead staff meetings, support quality improvement initiatives, and stay current on dental industry developments.

Compensation/Benefits/Perks:

• The anticipated salary for this position is between $145,000 - $150,000 annually. Salary will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors.
