Job summary

Antares is seeking its first General Counsel to build the legal and compliance foundation as it scales its nuclear microreactors from prototype to production. You will partner with the CEO and leadership team to enable rapid execution while ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management.

As GC, you will lead government contracts, export controls, NRC licensing, and enterprise-wide legal strategy, drafting templates and playbooks, and managing external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 12+ years of legal experience.
• Experience in at least two of: government contracts, export controls, or regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Antares’ first in-house general counsel and lead legal partnerships.
• Oversee government contracts and government-funded programs, including negotiations and compliance.
• Handle DOE/DoD and other federal agency obligations.
• Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (NDA, vendor, services, software, etc.).
• Develop and maintain export controls program (ITAR, EAR).
