Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic General Counsel to serve as a strategic legal advisor across all aspects of our operations. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned legal professional with deep real estate experience and strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Real Estate Transactions : Lead all legal components of acquisitions and dispositions—including purchase and sale agreements, due diligence, title, escrow, and closings.
• Contract Oversight : Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of vendor and service agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Risk Management : Proactively identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to protect the company's interests.
• DST Experience : Familiarity with Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) structures is highly preferred.
• Compliance Leadership : Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and advise on regulatory matters.
• Internal Collaboration : Partner with teams across departments to provide clear, practical legal guidance.
• Mentorship & Leadership : Supervise and support our in-house paralegal, fostering growth and ongoing development.

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing of a U.S. state bar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate law, particularly in acquisitions and dispositions
• Working knowledge of DST structures
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• A passion for educating and mentoring legal talent
• Multifamily real estate experience is a strong plus
