Role Overview

The General Counsel is Good Carbon’s senior legal leader and a strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, executive team, and business leaders. This role will build and lead a practical, responsive legal function supporting the company’s real estate, clean‑energy, construction, financing, tax‑credit, capital‑raising, employment, compliance, and corporate activities. The General Counsel will bring strong technical legal capability, a transactional foundation in real estate closings and tax‑driven transactions, and broad commercial judgment. The role will work directly with teams across the business, translate complex issues into clear options and recommendations, and personally handle core legal matters where the General Counsel’s expertise adds the most value.

The General Counsel is accountable for designing the legal function, building and developing the internal team, establishing repeatable processes, and assembling the right network of specialist advisors.
