Responsibilities:

As an Apprentice Carpenter/Laborer at Johnson Construction Group, you will play an integral role in our construction projects and gain hands-on experience in the industry. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Utilizing general labor skills to support various construction tasks.
2. Cleaning and preparing construction sites for work.
3. Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
4. Assisting in the erection and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary structures.
5. Digging trenches, compacting, and backfilling trenches/holes.
6. Operating and tending to machinery and heavy equipment.
7. Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
8. Assisting skilled tradesmen in their duties.
9. Ensuring daily jobsite clean-up.
10. Creating a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
11. Interacting professionally with customers, trade partners, and suppliers/vendors.
12. Undertaking other maintenance duties as required.

Other Requirements:

1. Physical strength and stamina.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
3. Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.
4. Open to direct instruction and adaptable to changing tasks and assignments.
5. Willingness to learn new skills and participate in technical training.
6. Willingness to travel, if necessary.
