We are seeking a detail-oriented General Clerk III to provide document management and administrative support services to our client who is supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA).
OPLA provides legal counsel and services to ICE offices and programs nationwide. Its work includes representing DHS in proceedings before the Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals, as well as providing support and direction to the Department of Justice’s Office of Immigration Litigation and U.S. Attorney’s Offices. This role supports a regional OPLA office that manages confidential, sensitive, and high-level legal documentation.
The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, comfortable working with sensitive information, and able to follow established processes with accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced professional working environment.
The federal background investigation may include review of citizenship status, residency information, employment history, education, credit history, criminal history, and fingerprinting.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS ICE T2 security clearance. Employment is contingent upon successfully meeting all federal suitability, background-investigation, and clearance requirements.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. The compensation rate is $19.77 per hour, plus $5.09 per hour in Health & Welfare (H&W) benefits, as required by the applicable local wage determination.
