This position follows clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file; could involve simple posting to individual accounts, opening mail, calculating and posting charges to departmental accounts, operating basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multiline phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines and minimal computer programs. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher level staff.

This position requires the ability to perform frequent walking and sustained mobility throughout a large-scale facility exceeding one million square feet in order to complete scheduled mail delivery and pickup routes. The incumbent must be able to safely push and maneuver a loaded mail cart over long distances, navigate hallways, offices, and service areas, and maintain a consistent pace while meeting delivery deadlines.
The role also requires frequent lifting, carrying, moving, and handling of mail, packages, equipment, and office supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Additional physical demands include standing, bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive use of hands and arms throughout the workday.
The employee must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while performing routine material handling and transportation tasks.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
