Job summary

Bragg Hospitality in Alexandria, VA is seeking a reliable Houseman / General Cleaner to support our housekeeping team and keep public areas pristine for guests.

You will clean lobby, hallways, restrooms, restock supplies, assist with laundry, and pass guest requests to the front desk. Training is provided; weekend availability helps.

Qualifications

• Dependable, on time, and able to work on your own.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and do repeat tasks. Heavy lifting may be required from time to time.
• Careful and pays attention to detail.
• Hotel or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required — we\'ll train you.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Keep public areas clean — the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairways, restrooms, and entrance.
• Deliver clean towels, sheets, and supplies to guest floors and the housekeeping team.
• Collect trash and dirty laundry from the floors and take them to the right area.
• Help with the hotel's laundry — sort, wash, dry, fold, and put away sheets and towels.
• Restock supplies and keep storage and back areas clean and organized.
• Move furniture and equipment for room setups or deep cleaning.
• Help guests in a friendly, polite way and pass any requests to the front desk.
• Report any maintenance problems or safety concerns to the manager.
• Use all cleaning products, chemicals, and tools the safe way to avoid injury or damage.
