Trident Technical College is seeking a General Cleaner. This position reports to the Building and Janitorial Supervisor. It is considered essential personal work and requires performing duties during/after severe weather and other emergencies. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of assigned buildings and ensuring all janitorial duties are completed to a high standard.
This position requires experience in custodial, housekeeping, or pest control work directly related to the area of employment.
The candidate must be able to perform all job responsibilities with minimal supervision, demonstrating necessary skills and knowledge for each task. High discretion is required when carrying out duties. The candidate must be highly self-motivated and capable of supervising. A solid understanding of cleaning methods, materials, equipment, and safety practices used in large commercial and institutional facilities is essential. The ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate to heavy physical strength and to organize cleaning activities and projects is necessary. Must be able to lift 30 lbs without assistance.
