HES Facilities Management is seeking a General Cleaner in Junction City, KS to perform custodial duties in GC USD Schools, ensuring daily cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas.

Shifts include 6AM-2:30PM, 2:30PM-11PM, and 6PM-11PM for part-time; pay rate is $13.00-$14.00 per hour; a background check is required.

This is a full-time and part-time role with a team-focused environment and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum.

• Assist in event setup in specified rooms.
• Notify management of repairs or supplies needed.

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas in GC USD Schools. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility:

Essential Functions:

• Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum
• Cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, offices, athletic rooms, other rooms and areas of schools
• Low and high dusting of walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, strike plates on doors and other chrome and interior fixtures
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors
• Sweep, Mop and Vacuum entryways and mats
• Empty interior and exteriors trashcans
• Assist in set-up for events inside specified rooms as directed
• Notify management/supervisor of needed repair work
• Notify management/supervisor of supplies needing replenished
• Organize custodial closets as needed
• Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction.
• Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation.
• Background check required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school degree preferred, but not required.
• Physical and Working Conditions: Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company.
• Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold.
