Job summary

Vonachen Group in Madison, AL is seeking a General Cleaner to maintain high cleanliness standards and support a safe, healthy environment for our clients.

Responsibilities include cleaning tasks, stocking supplies, reporting hazards, and assisting with security duties. This is a Part-Time position with 1st shift (8am‑1pm) and 2nd shift (4pm‑8pm), paying $14/hour, with daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and maintain performance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restrooms).
• Stock and organize janitor supply rooms.
• Inform management of safety hazards or needed repairs.
• Monitor building security and doors after hours.

The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job responsibilities:

• Clean, including, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning, gathering and emptying trash bins in designated building areas following all health and safety regulations.
• Stock, organize, and maintain janitor supply rooms as needed.
• Inform management immediately of any potential safety risks or hazards and/or needed repair work.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours.
• Complete other duties and special trainings as assigned by the supervisor.
