Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking General Cleaners in Hampstead, NC to uphold cleanliness in assigned areas and support daily facility maintenance. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, window washing, trash removal, and assisting with light cleaning tasks as directed.

Candidates should have a strong work history, be reliable, capable of long shifts in a fast-paced environment, and able to work with a team.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred, but not required.
• Previous cleaning experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpets.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms; restock supplies.
• Wash windows; remove trash and recycle; clean desks, walls, fixtures.
• Polish entryway glass and maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas.
• Follow directions from custodial supervisor and adapt to tasks as needed.

Job description

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.

Essential Functions

Sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, extracting carpet, stripping and waxing floors, removing trash, recycling, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, polishing outside area within 10 feet of entryways, washing windows, removal or snow and ice, cleaning of desks/walls/ furniture/ doors/ entry glass/ interior glass/counter tops/chalkboards/ whiteboards/blinds and light fixtures, and any other duties as directed by custodial supervisor or his/her designated representative.

Minimum Qualifications
