Job summary

UG2 LLC is seeking a General Cleaner in Des Moines, IA to perform janitorial duties across client facilities. The role emphasizes quality customer service, proper cleaning techniques, and safe handling of chemicals. The 2nd shift runs Mon-Fri from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, floors, break rooms, and offices; restocking supplies; and maintaining equipment and janitor closets.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related customer service and/or facility services experience.
• Valid Driver's License is a plus.
• Floor care experience is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners; clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Clean windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

TheGeneral Cleaner, under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager, is responsible for performing janitorial duties for buildings and related areas. Quality customer service skills are required. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements
