About the Role

We are seeking a skilled General Carpenter to join our team at Door Renew in Charlotte, NC. As a General Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including repairing and installing doors, frames, and hardware. If you are passionate about carpentry and enjoy working with a dedicated team, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and shape materials to build or repair doors and door frames, both in the shop and onsite
• Install door hardware, such as locks, handles, and hinges
• Replace door sweeps and weatherstripping components
• Repair or replace damaged or worn doors and frames
• Perform door alignment techniques to ensure proper closure
• Strip, sand, stain, and/or paint doors, frames, sidelights, and transoms
• Work with a team to complete projects efficiently and accurately
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
• Must have excellent problem solving skills
• Knowledge of hand and power tools used in carpentry
• Painting and staining experience required
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
