About this roleWe're hiring general carpenters in Austin, TX to perform a range of commercial and industrial carpentry tasks. Day-to-day work includes wood and metal framing, trim and paneling, exterior cladding, acoustical ceiling installation and other fit-out and rough carpentry duties on active construction sites. You'll read and follow construction drawings and measurements, keep work areas clean and safe, and coordinate with foremen and trade partners. This is hands-on field work - expect physical lifting, climbing, and work outdoors in all typical job-site conditions around Austin.What you'll doPerform wood and metal framing: floor, wall, roof and nonbearing interior partitionsInstall trim, doors, frames and hardware; measure and cut trim and panels to specInstall acoustical ceilings, exterior cladding and other finish systems per drawingsRead and follow construction drawings, take accurate measurements, and mark layoutsMaintain clean, safe job sites: daily site cleanup, material staging and basic concrete/form work supportWork with crew and foreman to meet schedule, handle tools and equipment safely, and report issues promptlyWhat we're looking forProven experience in general framing carpentry (wood and metal) and rough carpentry on commercial or industrial jobsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and measurements accuratelyExperience with acoustical ceiling installation, exterior cladding, trim/paneling, doors, frames and hardwareFamiliarity with metal stud framing, wood framing, floor and roof framing, and basic concrete/form workComfort working on active construction sites, following site safety rules and performing site cleanupReliable attendance, ability to lift and move materials, and work full shifts on local Austin projectsQualificationsOSHA-10 card preferred (or ability to complete site-specific safety training)Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Austin job sitesAbility to pass a drug screen and background check where requiredStrong measurement/math skills and proficiency with hand and power toolsAbility to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work safely at heightsWhat we offerHealth insurance options availablePaid time off and holiday payOvertime opportunities on extended shifts and urgent schedulesJob-site PPE provided and tool support or tool allowance where neededConsistent local assignments within Austin with opportunity for steady hoursReady to apply?Build your profile.
