Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to collaborate with the USF Cardiology Consult Team on the inpatient cardiology service. You will manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions under attending cardiologists and a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes evidence-based care planning, rounds participation, patient education, and careful documentation of medical records. Florida PA/NP licensure and national certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
• Active Florida PA or APRN license and current national certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients on the inpatient cardiology consult service in collaboration with the attending cardiologist.
• Develop and implement evidence-based care plans for acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing and prescribe medications and therapies within the APP’s scope of practice.
• Participate in daily rounds and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Support safe transitions of care and maintain timely, accurate medical record documentation.

Job Summary
