Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team on the Tampa Main Campus. The APP will collaborate with the on-call attending physician on a nightly basis to evaluate and admit new patients, and provide complex inpatient and ICU care for patients with LVADs, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and post-transplant recovery.

Required qualifications include PA or NP licensure in Florida and Acute Care or Gerontology

Qualifications

• PA/NP with Acute Care or Gerontology certification eligible.
• Experience in Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant, and General Cardiology preferred.
• Current Florida APRN/PA licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Perform new patient evaluations and admissions.
• Provide follow-up care for inpatients, including ICU patients with LVAD, IABP, or ECMO support.
• Manage patients on chronic inotropes and care for pre-/post-operative heart transplant recipients.
