Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in eastern North Carolina seeks a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Cardiologist to join UNC Cardiology at Lenoir. This employed, full-time position offers strong institutional backing and a path to expand general cardiology services for a community with significant patient need.

You will work alongside interventional colleagues, with a new cath lab opening in March 2026 and APP support. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in General Cardiology.
• Interest in growing a community-based cardiology practice.
• Supportive institutional environment for new graduates or experienced physicians.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient-focused General Cardiology with inpatient consult coverage.
• Collaborate with Interventional Cardiology for procedural and STEMI-related care.
• Share 14 days of call with UNC cardiology partners and community providers.
• APPs manage clinic panels and support inpatient consults.
• New cath lab opening March 2026 to support comprehensive cardiovascular care.
