Ascension in Tulsa, OK is seeking a physician to join a busy, well‑respected practice. This employed role is supported by a strong referral base and the resources of a robust health system network.

You will provide medical services in an assigned area, evaluate and treat patients, and coordinate care with case management. The position emphasizes quality care, cost effectiveness, and hospital involvement as needed.

Formación

• Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills; coordinate discharge planning with case management.
• Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians and serve as admitting/attending/consulting physician when hospitalization is required.
• Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide documentation meeting insurer requirements and timely appeal of denials.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty and on-call schedules.

Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate
  discharge planning with case management.
• Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical
  Licensure and Supervision obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
