Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Mercy Medical Group in Carmichael, CA, is seeking a General Cardiologist to deliver high-quality, non-invasive cardiac care within a physician-led multi-specialty group. You will join a team of cardiologists with access to EP, Heart Failure, and Interventional subspecialists, and participate in outpatient care and a 1:4 on-call rotation.

Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine, with CA license and DEA, is required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board status as Internal Medicine (ABMS or AOA).
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain).
• DEA certification.
• Strong communication and teamwork to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general cardiology care in a high-performing team, including outpatient management.
• Participate in a 1:4 call/hospital coverage rotation with 24/7 hospitalist support.
• Collaborate with EP, Heart Failure, and Interventional subspecialists for referrals and complex cases.

As our General Cardiologist Physician, you will become an integral part of one of the Sacramento region's premier cardiology divisions, situated in Carmichael, CA. This outstanding opportunity within a physician-led, multi-specialty group allows you to deliver high-quality, non-invasive cardiac care to a diverse patient population, supported by robust clinical infrastructure and collaborative subspecialists.

Every day you will engage in comprehensive general cardiology practice, managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions in a full-time capacity. You will collaborate closely with an experienced team of cardiologists, leveraging the readily available expertise of EP, Heart Failure, and Interventional subspecialists for referrals. Your responsibilities will include outpatient care and participation in a 1:4 call/hospital coverage rotation, supported by 24/7 hospitalist services, ensuring continuous, high-quality patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Eligible or Board Certified, fellowship-trained General Cardiologist with a passion for exceptional patient care and a collaborative spirit.
