Each year the Princeton University Summer Day Camp employs about 50 camp counselors. While most of our counselors are ages 18+, we do offer some counselor roles to individuals ages 16 and above, based on previous experience in our CIT program or other summer camp program.
The General Counselor role is important to the structure and environment of the Summer Day Camp program. General Counselors are responsible for the safety and well-being of every child in their group. Each counselor will be placed with an age group. The level of enthusiasm and energy that the general counselor brings to camp each day will determine the amount of fun and excitement the campers will have at Princeton University.
Counselors are expected to work 40 hours per week during camp weeks (June 16th – August 8th, 2025) and training will be held in early June. This position is temporary.
