Job summary

Keystone Central School District is seeking a motivated cafeteria worker to support daily meal service in our schools. You will assist in food preparation, set up the cafeteria lines, and ensure accurate portion control in compliance with guidelines.

Responsibilities include serving students and guests in a friendly manner, handling cash with a POS system, and identifying reimbursable breakfasts and lunches while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with food service and POS systems preferred.
• Willing to learn updated technology.

• Reads and follows menu instruction sheets. Utilizes portion control when serving food to meet regulatory guidelines. Understands \"offer vs. serve\".


• Serves students and guests in a welcoming and friendly manner.


• Follows the highest standards of safety and sanitation in the kitchen.


• Correctly uses POS system where applicable.


• Correctly identifies reimbursable breakfasts and lunches.


• Sets up and balances the cash register drawer and performs necessary paper work.


• Willing to learn updated technology where applicable.


• Assists KCSD staff with table set up and take down for breakfast and lunch programs.


• Works cooperatively with other employees and management.


• Maintains consistent attendance.


• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.


• Preforms other duties assigned by the cafeteria manager, head cook, and/or Food Service Director.
